Alternative rockers U2 will perform tonight at the Rogers Centre in Toronto for their 360 tour. Bono will come equipped with his sunglasses I'm sure, along with an over the top performance to an unbelievably committed fan base.The only reason why I would even want to go to the show, is to see the multi-million dollar "claw" stage that everyone has been talking about. To make U2 even more of a big deal then most people make them out to be, the Rogers Centre has agreed to open the dome for the second time in history! The first was for a Bruce Springsteen show - go figure.
The Rogers Centre homepage explains the dome opening as: "it's as if the stage were a spaceship about to take off after the show".
Maybe the spaceship could fly over to Africa. That way, Bono can donate the goliath of mechanisms to the STARVING CHILDREN THAT HE ONCE CARED ABOUT.
In other Torontonian news - the Leafs play their first pre-season game tonight with the brand spankin new team, against the Boston Bruins. GO LEAFS GO!!
